RULES 2

We like to stress that 5KURWAY can be done “your way”. However, to keep it fun and fair for everyone involved we have put a few rules in place.

RULE 1

Participant must complete 5km in the one activity. Be it 5km walk along the beach, 5km to get a coffee or 5km hike through the National Park, it must be done as one singular activity.

Please note: if you connect a tracking device to your account, the first activity recorded during the allocated time will be recorded. Eg. 6:30am Saturday morning you do a 10km run in 45 minutes – this will display as your 5KURWAY activity for the week as 5km in 45 minutes. To avoid this you can manually upload your activity rather than importing.

RULE 2

Participant must be able to show proof of the activity – distance, time and type of movement. This can be tracked by a number of different methods – apps, GPS devices etc. and uploaded to your unique profile.

RULE 3

The movement must be done on foot. No cycling, swimming or scooting, must be completed during the allocated time and must be intentional.
Allowed movement:
Walking, jogging, skipping, running, trail runs or hiking.
Not Allowed:
Sightseeing or strolling through the shops, swimming or riding any device – bike, skateboard, scooter, rollerblades, etc.

RULE 4

Movement must be completed and uploaded before the cut off time.
5KURWAY TIMEFRAME:
12am Friday – 12pm Sunday
This allows everyone to get involved. Be it after night shift, before work or with your favourite running group. Just make sure you submit your proof between these times.

RULE 5

The most important rule of all. Motivate, encourage and inspire others but most of all HAVE FUN.
